Swallowing Analysis

An acoustic analysis of swallowing sounds is done with the support of a microphone and a notebook computer system. This analysis is generally done on people who are affected by dysphagia, a neurological disorder. A comparison of 50 to 60 of the healthy analysis are taken for reference, to diagnose if there is any disorder. During this analysis, the mean duration of swallowing sounds and post-swallowing and apnoea are recorded to find if there are any disorders. Experts at the Hearing Aid Centre will guide through this diagnostic procedure and recommend a specific suitable therapy protocol in case of a disorder.
